With the win, Horizon upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Ysleta (El Paso, TX) to play the Indians in a 5A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, January 13. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 14-8. Ysleta won 61-30 in their recent non-league bout against Riverside (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mountain View Lobos (El Paso, TX) in a 4A Region I District 2 bout, on Friday, January 13. Fabens will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Lobos go into the bout with a 2-19 record after their 60-43 non-league loss to Del Valle (El Paso, TX).
