Huron River Rats (Ann Arbor, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI), 58-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Huron upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The River Rats travel to Ypsilanti (Ypsilanti, MI) to clash with the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Ypsilanti lost 73-29 in their recent league bout against Jackson (Jackson, MI)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 53-24 league loss to Lincoln Park (Lincoln Park, MI).
