Pennsylvania High School Basketball - New Brighton overwhelmed by Neshannock

January 10, 2023: New Castle, PA 16105

The Neshannock Lancers basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the visiting New Brighton Lions to 34 in the Lancers league victory on Tuesday.

The Lancers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Armstrong for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Neshannock will battle a River Hawks team coming off a 41-39 league win over Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA). The River Hawks record now stands at 9-3.

The Lions (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA). The Warriors come into the WPIAL 3A 1 contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Mohawk Area triumphed over Riverside (Ellwood City, PA), 66-31, in a league contest.
