The Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 72-67 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Comets (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record.

The Patriots now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Bradford Prep for a non-league test on Friday, January 20.
