January 10, 2024: Forestville, MD 20747 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) and the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), saw Bishop McNamara's basketball squad knock off Bishop Ireton by a tally of 64-56.
With the victory, Bishop McNamara improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD) to play the Falcons in a Washington Catholic challenge on Friday, January 12. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Our Lady of Good Counsel won 69-66 in their recent league challenge against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Montverde Academy Eagles (Montverde, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Bishop Ireton will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 55-43 non-league win over St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
