In Friday's league contest, the host Mason Punchers basketball team scored a big 66-23 triumph over the Center Point Pirates.

The Punchers (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against San Saba (San Saba, TX). The Armadillos go into the 2A Region IV District 29 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, San Saba walloped Harper (Harper, TX), 45-44, in a league battle.

The Pirates now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goldthwaite for a 2A Region IV District 29 battle on Tuesday, January 14.
