The Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) basketball were winner over the visiting Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL), 58-43 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Lecanto for a 5A District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Springstead will play a Panthers team coming off a 61-59 non-league win over Altamonte Christian (Altamonte Springs, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 14-1.
