New Mexico High School Basketball - Quemado holds off Springer
January 10, 2025: Springer, NM 87747 The Quemado Eagles basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Springer Red Devils to 62 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now have a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Maxwell for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. Quemado will confront a Bears team coming off a 82-43 league win over New Mexico School for the Deaf (Santa Fe, NM). The Bears record now stands at 9-1.
With the loss, Springer falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Red devils host Reserve (Reserve, NM) to confront the Mountaineers in a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. The Mountaineers go into the game with a record of 1-5. Reserve lost 80-25 in their recent non-league game against Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM)
