The Shafter Generals basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Taft Wildcats to 55 in the Generals league triumph on Friday.

The Generals now possess a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Kennedy for a South Sequoia game on Tuesday, January 14. Shafter will confront a Thunderbirds team coming off a 71-62 league loss to McFarland (McFarland, CA). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 5-7.
