In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings basketball team scored a close 58-56 win over the St. Peter's Eagles.

The Vikings (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against LaSalle Academy (New York, NY). The Cardinals come into the Catholic A contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, LaSalle Academy was tipped by Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY), 65-40, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders (Bronx, NY) in a Catholic AA - New York contest, on Sunday, January 12.
