United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 67-47 in a league bout.

With the win, United upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Longhorns travel to United South (Laredo, TX) to play the Panthers in a 6A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-13.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Alexander Bulldogs (Laredo, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 30 match, on Tuesday, January 18. Nixon will attempt to better on its 17-7 season record.
