The Nixon Mustangs basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the visiting Laredo LBJ Wolves to 61 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to United for a 6A Region IV District 30 contest on Tuesday, January 11.

The Wolves (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against United South (Laredo, TX). The Panthers come into the 6A Region IV District 30 contest with a 11-13 record. In their last contest, United South was defeated by Martin (Laredo, TX), 73-66, in a non-league contest.
