Texas High School Basketball - Nixon nudges Martin

December 14, 2021: Laredo, TX 78040

Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX), 57-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nixon upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Mustangs host Eagle Pass (Eagle Pass, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 6A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, December 21. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-11.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Somerset Bulldogs (Somerset, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 17. Martin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 80-76 non-league loss to Harlandale (San Antonio, TX).
