January 11, 2022: Melrose, MA 02176 The Reading Memorial Rockets (Reading, MA) basketball knocked off the host Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA), 54-38 in Tuesday's league test.
The Rockets (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Winchester (Winchester, MA). The Sachems go into the Middlesex test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Winchester notched a victory over Stoneham (Stoneham, MA), 41-28, in a league test.
The Red Raiders now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Stoneham for a Middlesex test on Friday, January 14. Melrose will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 40-29 non-league loss to North Reading (North Reading, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 2-3.
