January 11, 2023: Conway, AR 72032 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the England Lions (England, AR) and the host St. Joseph Bulldogs (Conway, AR), saw England's basketball squad overcome St. Joseph by a tally of 53-43.
With the victory, England improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Lions host Conway Christian (Conway, AR) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region 5 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Conway Christian won 57-53 in their recent league challenge against Cutter-Morning Star (Hot Springs National Park, AR)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Jacksonville Lighthouse Wolves (Jacksonville, AR) in a 2A Region 5 test, on Saturday, January 14. St. Joseph will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record. The Wolves go into the test with a 3-10 record after their 40-35 league loss to Cutter-Morning Star (Hot Springs National Park, AR).
