January 11, 2023: Mt. Vernon, AR 72111 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds (Imboden, AR) and the host Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR), saw Sloan-Hendrix's basketball squad overcome Mt. Vernon-Enola by a tally of 54-39.
With the victory, Sloan-Hendrix improves its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to South Side (Bee Branch, AR) to confront the Hornet in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Hornet come into the challenge with a record of 10-12. South Side won 65-43 in their recent league challenge against White County Central (Judsonia, AR)
Next up, the Warhawks confront the White County Central Bears (Judsonia, AR) in a 2A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Mt. Vernon-Enola will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 8-14 record after their 65-43 league loss to South Side (Bee Branch, AR).
