Game Story

North Carolina High School Basketball - Triton nips Pine Forest

January 11, 2024: Erwin, NC 28339

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) and the visiting Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), saw Triton's basketball squad hold off Pine Forest by a tally of 60-57.

With the victory, Triton improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Overhills (Spring Lake, NC) to play the Jaguars in a 3A/4A All-American challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 5-5.

Next up, the Trojans play the Freedom Christian Academy (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Pine Forest will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 89-73 non-league win over Cape Fear Christian Academy (Erwin, NC).
