January 11, 2025: Elgin, OR 97827 The Four Rivers Falcons basketball squad (Ontario, OR), was nudged 46-42 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR)
With the victory, Elgin advances its record to 4-6 on the year. The Huskies host Union (Union, OR) to meet the Bobcats in a 1A Old Oregon battle on Thursday, January 16. The Bobcats enter the battle with a record of 11-5. Union won 70-42 in their recent league test against Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR)
The Falcons (2-8) will now prepare for their test against Grant Union (John Day, OR). The Prospectors come into the non-league test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, Grant Union was nipped by Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR), 73-67, in a league test.
