In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Milby Buffs basketball team scored a close 36-29 triumph over the Sharpstown Apollos.

The Buffs (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Galena Park (Galena Park, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the 5A Region III District 21 contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Galena Park was tipped by Sterling (Houston, TX), 69-63, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Apollos confront the Spring Woods Tigers (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Sharpstown will attempt to better on its 1-13 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 14-6 record after their 67-50 league win over Waltrip (Houston, TX).
