California High School Soccer - Calexico nudges La Costa Canyon
January 11, 2025: Carlsbad, CA 92009 The Calexico Bulldogs soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host La Costa Canyon Mavericks to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Holtville for a Imperial Valley bout on Tuesday, January 14. Calexico will play a Vikings squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Palo Verde Valley (Blythe, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, La Costa Canyon moves to 4-3 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA) to play the Longhorns in a Coastal (NCC) bout on Wednesday, January 15. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Rancho Buena Vista won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA)
