Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sunlake Seahawks (Land O' Lakes, FL), 55-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Mitchell upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Anclote (Holiday, FL) to play the Sharks in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 14. The Sharks go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Anclote lost 69-41 in their recent league bout against Zephyrhills (Zephyrhills, FL)

Next up, the Seahawks play the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls (Wesley Chapel, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 13. Sunlake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Bulls go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 61-57 league loss to Steinbrenner (Lutz, FL).
