Connecticut High School Basketball - Ellington holds off Stafford
January 12, 2024: Stafford Springs, CT 06076 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ellington Knights (Ellington, CT) and the host Stafford Bulldogs (Stafford Springs, CT), saw Ellington's basketball squad hold off Stafford by a tally of 56-51.
With the victory, Ellington improves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Canton (Canton, CT) to confront the Warriors in a North Central Connecticut challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Canton lost 49-48 in their recent league challenge against Coventry (Coventry, CT)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Rockville Rams (Vernon, CT) in a North Central Connecticut challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Stafford will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 67-40 league win over Bolton (Bolton, CT).
