The Poolville Monarchs basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Ranger Bulldogs to 9 in the Monarchs league triumph on Friday.

The Monarchs now sport a 21-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to De Leon for a 2A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Poolville will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 75-7 league win over Ranger (Ranger, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 10-11.

The Bulldogs (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lipan (Lipan, TX). The Indians enter the 2A Region II District 11 contest with a 16-3 record. In their last contest, Lipan triumphed over Tolar (Tolar, TX), 33-30, in a league contest.
