Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Thomas More tops Southside
January 12, 2024: Youngsville, LA Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) and the host Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA), saw St. Thomas More's basketball squad knock off Southside by a count of 52-41.
With the victory, St. Thomas More upgrades its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Carencro (Lafayette, LA) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 15. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Carencro lost 83-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA)
Next up, the Sharks play the Carver Collegiate Academy Rams (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Southside will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record.
