United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Del Rio Rams (Del Rio, TX), 58-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, United upgrades its record to 20-8 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX) to confront the Wolves in a 6A Region IV District 30 battle on Wednesday, January 17. The Wolves come into the battle with a record of 0-20.

The Rams (10-17) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander (Laredo, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 6A Region IV District 30 battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, Alexander was overwhelmed by United South (Laredo, TX), 72-46, in a league battle.
