In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lovington Wildcats basketball team scored a decisive 61-18 triumph over the Ruidoso Warriors.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 16. Lovington will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Cavemen enter the match with a 9-6 record after their 63-35 non-league loss to Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM).
