The Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) basketball nipped the host Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM), 45-40 in Friday's league test.

The Bulldogs (17-6) will now prepare for their test against Portales (Portales, NM). The Rams go into the 4A District 4 test with a 18-6 record. In their last test, Portales got by Goddard (Roswell, NM), 42-32, in a league test.
