New Mexico High School Basketball - Roswell can't hold off Lovington

The Lovington Wildcats basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Roswell Coyotes to 40 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Mesa for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 7. Lovington will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 48-45 non-league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.

The Coyotes (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Miyamura was nudged by Window Rock (Fort Defiance, AZ), 56-27, in a non-league contest.
