The Rio Grande City Rattlers basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Roma Gladiators to 26 in the Rattlers league triumph on Friday.

The Rattlers now sport a 17-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mission Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 30 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Rio Grande City will meet a Patriots team coming off a 37-23 league loss to Martin (Laredo, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 8-13.

The Gladiators (21-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX). The Toros enter the 5A Region IV District 30 contest with a 14-13 record. In their last contest, Cigarroa was defeated by Palmview (La Joya, TX), 57-42, in a league contest.
