Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV) and the host Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV), saw Churchill County's basketball squad hold off Lowry by a tally of 42-41.

With the victory, Churchill County improves its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Greenwave travel to Fernley (Fernley, NV) to play the Vaqueros in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 17. The Vaqueros come into the challenge with a record of 9-1.

Next up, the Buckaroos play the Dayton Dust Devils (Dayton, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 17. Lowry will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record.
