Illinois High School Basketball - Prairie Central overwhelms Pontiac

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) and the visiting Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL), saw Prairie Central's basketball squad wallop Pontiac by a count of 73-42.

With the victory, Prairie Central upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 15. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Grace Christian Academy lost 45-27 in their recent league challenge against Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL)

Next up, the Indians play the Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 15. Pontiac will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 41-34 non-league win over Andrean (Merrillville, IN).
