The Prairie Central Hawks basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts to 23 in the Hawks league victory on Monday.

The Hawks now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paxton-Buckley-Loda for a Illini Prairie contest on Thursday, January 27. Prairie Central will battle a Panthers team coming off a 66-39 league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 11-12.

The Grey Ghosts (11-13) will now prepare for their contest against Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Rockets come into the Illini Prairie contest with a 20-5 record. In their last contest, Tolono Unity triumphed over Pontiac (Pontiac, IL), 44-35, in a league contest.
