Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), 45-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Illinois Valley Central upgrades its record to 11-12 on the season. The Grey Ghosts travel to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to play the Hawks in a Illini Prairie bout on Monday, January 24. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 17-6. Prairie Central won 47-30 in their recent non-league bout against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL)

Next up, the Eagles play the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Thursday, January 27. Rantoul will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record.
