The St. Thomas More Sabers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Rantoul Eagles to 18 in the Sabers league triumph on Thursday.

The Sabers now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Auburn for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 29. St. Thomas More will battle a Trojans team coming off a 60-46 non-league loss to New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 10-15.

The Eagles (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Illini Central/Greenview (Mason City, IL). The go into the non-league bout with a 3-20 record. In their last bout, Illini Central/Greenview was crushed by Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL), 36-16, in a league bout.
