IMG Academy Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD), 77-40 in a league bout.

With the win, IMG Academy upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Ascenders travel to Grand River Academy (Austinburg, OH) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The go into the bout with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Grayson Rams (Loganville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Bishop Walsh will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 71-44 league win over Archer (Lawrenceville, GA).
