In Friday's non-league outing, the Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades (Chambers, NE), by a count of 67-36.

The Spartans (5-4) will now prepare for their outing against Santee (Santee, NE). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 6-1 record.

The Renegades now hold a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to St. Mary's for a D2 District 5 outing on Saturday, January 14. Chambers/Wheeler Central will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 55-46 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-4.
