January 13, 2025: Armonk, NY 10504 Byram Hills Bobcats (Armonk, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 63-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Byram Hills upgrades its record to 9-1 on the year. The Bobcats host Harrison (Harrison, NY) to face the Huskies in a Section 1 Conference 2E match on Thursday, January 16. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 5-4. Harrison lost 55-41 in their recent non-league match against Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY)
The Goldbacks now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroe-Woodbury for a Section 9 Orange County I match on Wednesday, January 15. Newburgh Free Academy will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 60-42 non-league loss to Albany (Albany, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-5.
