January 13, 2025: Jennings, LA 70546 New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Jennings Bulldogs (Jennings, LA), 57-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, New Iberia advances its record to 11-10 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Comeaux (Lafayette, LA) to meet the Spartans in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 10-17. Comeaux won 48-32 in their recent non-league match against Morgan City (Morgan City, LA)
The Bulldogs now own a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Barbe for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. Jennings will meet a Buccaneers squad coming off a 62-41 non-league win over South Beauregard (Longville, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 23-9.
