Kentucky High School Basketball - Rowan County thwarts Boyd County
January 13, 2025: Morehead, KY 40351 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) and the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), observed Rowan County's basketball team knock off Boyd County by a score of 61-52.
The Vikings (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats come into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Blazer prevailed over Raceland (Raceland, KY), 68-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions encounter the Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Boyd County will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 72-30 league loss to George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY).
