The Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) basketball felled the host Rochester Rams (Rochester, PA), 78-58 in Friday's league test.

The Scotties (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Beaver Falls was beaten by Lincoln (Ellwood City, PA), 58-50, in a league test.

The Rams now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to New Brighton for a non-league test on Friday, January 21.
