Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Union Area can't hold off Neshannock

December 29, 2021: New Castle, PA 16105

The Neshannock Lancers basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Union Area Scotties to 52 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Lancers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beaver Falls for a WPIAL 3A 1 contest on Tuesday, January 4. Neshannock will battle a Tigers team coming off a 72-70 non-league win over Beaver (Beaver, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-2.

The Scotties (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cornell (Coraopolis, PA). The Raiders enter the WPIAL 1A 1 contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Cornell was nudged by Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA), 72-28, in a non-league contest.
