Iowa High School Basketball - Alburnett overwhelms Cascade
January 14, 2023: Alburnett, IA 52202 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) and the visiting Cascade Cougars (Cascade, IA), saw Alburnett's basketball squad wallop Cascade by a count of 64-37.
With the victory, Alburnett upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA) to play the Wildcats in a Tri-Rivers challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Maquoketa Valley won 68-37 in their recent league challenge against East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Northeast Rebels (Goose Lake, IA) in a River Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Cascade will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 49-47 league win over Camanche (Camanche, IA).
