Nebraska High School Basketball - East holds off Scottsbluff
January 14, 2023: Scottsbluff, NE 69361 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the East Thunderbirds (Cheyenne, WY) and the host Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE), saw East's basketball squad hold off Scottsbluff by a tally of 52-48.
With the victory, East betters its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Laramie (Laramie, WY) to battle the Plainsmen in a 4A Southeast contest on Wednesday, January 18. The Plainsmen come into the contest with a record of 8-4. Laramie lost 69-53 in their recent non-league contest against Rock Springs (Rock Springs, WY)
The Bearcats (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Chadron (Chadron, NE). The Cardinals come into the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Chadron was nudged by Alliance (Alliance, NE), 57-52, in a non-league contest.
