In Tuesday's league test, the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) basketball squad trounced the host Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), by a score of 72-49.

Next, the Crusaders encounter the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins (Glen Carbon, IL) in a Gateway test, on Friday, January 17. Althoff Catholic will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Griffins come into the test with a 10-8 record after their 45-35 league win over Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL).

The Knights (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL). The Silver Stallions come into the Gateway test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Christ Our Rock Lutheran was routed by Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL), 54-50, in a league test.
