Missouri High School Basketball - Hannibal bested by Monroe City
January 14, 2025: Hannibal, MO 63401 Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Hannibal Pirates (Hannibal, MO), 66-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Monroe City advances its record to 9-2 on the year. The Panthers host Helias (Jefferson City, MO) to meet the Crusaders in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 15. The Crusaders enter the match with a record of 4-7.
The Pirates now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kirksville for a North Central Missouri match on Friday, January 17. Hannibal will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 70-65 non-league loss to Palmyra (Palmyra, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 8-5.
