Florida High School Basketball - Springstead tipped by Mitchell
The Mitchell Mustangs basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Springstead Eagles to 50 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wiregrass Ranch for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 19. Mitchell will meet a Bulls team coming off a 73-41 league loss to Sickles (Tampa, FL). The Bulls record now stands at 9-10.
The Eagles (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Hernando (Brooksville, FL). The Leopards enter the non-league contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Hernando was nudged by Pasco (Dade City, FL), 75-68, in a non-league contest.
