Maryland High School Basketball - Landon tops Sandy Spring Friends
January 15, 2022: Sandy Spring, MD 20860 Landon Bears (Bethesda, MD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests (Sandy Spring, MD), 66-58 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Landon upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Episcopal (Alexandria, VA) to play the Maroon in a Interstate Athletic bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Maroon come into the bout with a record of 8-3. Episcopal won 60-45 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the Wildebeests play the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA A bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Sandy Spring Friends will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 58-40 league loss to Field (Washington, DC).
