Michigan High School Basketball - Westwood overwhelms Iron Mountain
January 15, 2024: Ishpeming, MI 49849 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI) and the visiting Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI), saw Westwood's basketball squad wallop Iron Mountain by a tally of 57-34.
With the victory, Westwood improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Negaunee (Negaunee, MI) to confront the Miners in a Mid-Peninsula challenge on Friday, January 19. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Negaunee won 72-18 in their recent league challenge against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI)
Next up, the Mountaineers confront the Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Iron Mountain will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 40-36 non-league win over Wright (Ironwood, MI).
