Ohio High School Basketball - Wilmington holds off New Bremen
January 15, 2024: New Bremen, OH 45869 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Wilmington Hurricane (Wilmington, OH) and the host New Bremen Cardinals (New Bremen, OH), saw Wilmington's basketball squad hold off New Bremen by a tally of 36-29.
With the victory, Wilmington improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Hurricane travel to Batavia (Batavia, OH) to confront the Bulldogs in a Southern Buckeye - American challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Batavia lost 50-31 in their recent non-league challenge against North Adams (Seaman, OH)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Marion Local Flyers (Maria Stein, OH) in a Midwest challenge, on Thursday, January 18. New Bremen will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Flyers come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 45-40 non-league loss to Waynesville (Waynesville, OH).
