The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the AZ Compass Prep Dragons (Chandler, AZ) and the host South Pointe Griffins (Phoenix, AZ), observed AZ Compass Prep's basketball team edge South Pointe by a score of 61-60.

The Dragons (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, NY). The Crusaders come into the Nike Elite challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Long Island Lutheran edged Varsity Opponent (, ), 68-52, in a league challenge.
